Pres. Bongbong Marcos Speaks on MRT-3 Experience

BONGBONG MARCOS – The President claimed that he personally experienced the crowded situation inside the MRT-3.

Pres. Marcos is undeniably mum on the political turmoil in the government now since he expressed that it is time for the government to align itself to the demands of the people. Recently, the Chief Executive could only be heard speaking in the BBM podcasts unless Malacañang would relay his message and stand on certain issues.

In one of the podcasts released, Pres. Bongbong Marcos previously confirmed that the whole PH government is “on probation”. His statement came after he ordered his Cabinet secretary to resign from their positions. The Chief Executive evaluated the performance of his Cabinet secretaries and implement retentions and changes based on his analyses.

According to the President, inefficient government officials who would not do their job should go away so they can continue with their work. He stressed that friendship is not a factor is a friend does not do his/her job as he is for public service.

Recently, in his newest interview, Pres. Bongbong Marcos claimed he and his family and friends usually ride the MRT-3. According to him, he has personally experienced the crowded situation inside the train.

Marcos Jr. stressed that it is faster to ride the MRT-3 in going to Cubao than traveling on a private vehicle. Thus, to avoid wasting time on traffic, the President and his family and friends side the train.

”First of all, hindi ‘to first time na sumakay ako ng MRT, madalas namin gamitin ‘yung MRT dahil sa traffic. Mas mabilis eh. Kami… pamilya ko, mga kaibigan ko. Hindi practical matraffic, magdadalawang oras ka hanggang Cubao,” he said.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos who stressed that his MRT ride last June 1 was “not the first time” recalled his experience when the train was so crowded. Based on a report on GMA News, the Chief Executive shared that when he got inside the train, he cannot move his hand anymore as there were really a lot of passengers. He was told that it is the everyday situation inside the train.

”Naramdaman ko ‘yan, minsan sumakay kami ng MRT, talagang pag nakapasok ka na, basta’t ‘yung kamay mo nandito, hindi mo na magagalaw ‘yun. Nakadikit ka na dito. Kinakausap ko mga pasahero, ‘Sir, ganyan talaga ‘yan araw-araw,”’ the President said.

The statement of Marcos Jr. on his train experience came after the announcement of a promo for the passengers of the LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3. Based on the report, starting June 1, 2025, families or groups of four commuters will only have to pay for the fare of one passenger and the three (3) passengers’ ride will be for free — the Family/Padmilya Pass 1+3 program.

Recently, Malacañang said that Pres. Bongbong Marcos is open to talks about PH rejoining the ICC (International Criminal Court).
