Singer-actor Ronnie Liang warned the public against an artificial intelligence (AI) video using his name and face.
Ronnie has been in the industry for many years already. Aside from being a singer, he also ventured into hosting, and right now, he is also a licensed pilot.
Having a celebrity status, Ronnie is also not immune to being used for other people’s personal interests. Previously, he warned the public against “love scam.” A fake account was created with his photo.
The said fake account would message female netizens and flirt with them in exchange for money. Just recently, based on the article in Philippine Entertainment Portal, Ronnie Liang once again warned the public about another scam.
His face is used in an AI video showing that he was supposed to be encouraging the public to invest in a “crypto wallet and trading.” Other netizens may have been swayed by this since the AI video also copied his voice.
The singer stressed that he has nothing to do with the AI video. “I did not create that video and I don’t even remember saying those words. It was an AI sent to some people to scam them and invite them to invest to cryptocurrency trading thing,” he said.
Ronnie Liang is worried that people might have been victimized by this. He wanted the public to know about this to spread awareness.
Meanwhile, back in 2024, Ronnie Liang shared that he received indecent proposals. He said that the reason why his career never reached the supposed peak that it should be because he neglected those indecent proposals. The singer also stressed that money and fame can fade, but it is more important to have integrity and respect for oneself and colleagues.
