Ronnie Liang is being used for a scam
Singer-actor Ronnie Liang warned the public against a “love scam” that is using his name, photos, and videos.
Ronnie has been in the industry for many years already. Just like many singers, Ronnie also started with singing competitions. He rose to fame after joining the Kapamilya talent search show Pinoy Dream Academy in which he was hailed second runner-up.
He got the admiration of many fans not just because of his talent but also his charm and handsome face.

His face became a way for some scammers to earn money inappropriately. Based on the article in PEP, Ronnie Liang revealed that he received messages from Filipinos living in other countries in Asia, Europe, and America who fell victim to a scam.
The scammer created a fake social media account using Ronnie’s identity, including his photos and videos to court women and ask for money from them.
“Marami po ang gumagamit ng pictures at videos ko para makapag-love scam. Nagpapanggap silang si Ronnie Liang, nanliligaw ng mga babae, hindi lamang sa Pilipinas kundi pati na rin sa ibang bansa like sa Vietnam, Thailand, USA,” he shared.

The singer-actor also said that at times, these scammers used his foundation to ask for money. Reportedly, the victims would give 50K to 60K euros to the scammers while some have given 50K dollars.
There had been people asking him if he received the money or the packages that they sent to him. Ronnie has been receiving this kind of report since last year. He already did a live streaming on Facebook and TikTok to warn the public.
The singer-actor shared screenshots of the messages he received from the victims. Ronnie Liang’s photo is also being for a fake identification card with the name “Cpt. Erichong.”

Ronnie Liang established the Project Ngiti Foundation to help children with cleft lip palate and it saddened him that this is being used by scammers for their own gain. Back in 2021, the singer-actor also fell victim to a scam. The scammer took thousands of his money via his Gcash account.
