Claudine Barretto Gets Emotional Over Not Being Invited to Favorite Niece’s Wedding
CLAUDINE BARRETTO – Veteran actress Claudine Barretto finally addressed the emotional pain she felt after being left out of her niece Claudia’s wedding.
Claudine Barretto recently spoke candidly about the emotional pain she experienced after not being invited to the wedding of her beloved niece, Claudia Barretto.
During her appearance on Morly Alinio’s YouTube program “MORLY ALINIO (ITO ANG TONDO),” Claudine shared her feelings of sadness and disappointment over being excluded from the important family event. “I wanted to be there. Masakit. Favorite ko eh,” she admitted, visibly struggling to hold back tears.
Claudine revealed that Claudia has always held a special place in her heart, being her favorite among the children of her sister Marjorie Barretto. She fondly remembered giving Claudia meaningful gifts over the years, including her first Rolex and Cartier watches. She also shared that she has made it a habit to give her nieces and nephews thoughtful presents during significant milestones such as weddings or the birth of their children.
“‘Yun lang ‘yung gusto kong ibigay sana but you know it was a happy event daw. Ang pinaka-importante lang sa akin ‘yung masaya ‘yung pamangkin ko,” she said, stressing that her niece’s joy is more important to her than the pain of being excluded.
The actress also opened up about the current state of her relationship with her siblings, noting that only Gretchen Barretto remains close to her. She acknowledged her belief in “generational curses” within their family, which she feels has played a role in their long-standing discord.

Although she admitted feeling hurt, Claudine expressed no resentment. Instead, she continues to offer prayers for her siblings’ happiness and health, affirming, “Hindi siya kaaway kundi kakampi.”
