Luis Manzano Opens Up About How Losing In Halalan 2025 Affected Him

“Delayed is not denied,” says Luis Manzano when he shared his political journey.

Kapamilya host Luis Manzano chronicled his journey in Halalan 2025, and has this to say despite losing in the vice gubernatorial race in Batangas.

Life comes with no manual. What is served must be consumed, and in life, one must embrace everything with a better perspective to thrive and survive. For Luis Manzano, life goes on after losing in Halalan 2025, and he is just great in dealing with the loss, as he received it in the most pleasant way.

“My fellow Batangueños, we may not have won the elections but I am still a winner because of you. I felt the heart of Batangas in your smiles, stories, and hugs during the campaign,” Luis said regarding the midterm poll results based on a previous article.

Vilma Santos, his mother, and Ryan Recto, his brother, won in the gubernatorial and congressional races, respectively. Recently, in a vlog, he and his wife Jessy Mendiola recalled their experience as first-timers in politics.

They looked back on their campaign period experience, and in the same vlog, Luis shared what happened after finding out he got lost.

According to him, his sleep was affected following the result, but it was not because of his loss. It was because he knew what he wanted to do, and he also believed that “delayed is not denied.”

His positive outlook remained, and he was even grateful to the people of Batangas.

He said based on his vlog, “Hindi lang ako nakatulog masyado ng isang gabi. Ganun talaga ang mundo, hindi lang sa politika. Hindi ako nakapahinga ng siguro mga a day or two. Not because ‘talo’ ako, not because of that, but because alam ko [kasi] ang gusto kong gawin para sa Batangas. Delayed is not denied, natutunan ko yan, nabasa ko yan.”
