VP Sara Duterte Advises PDP-Laban To Ask Comelec about Process for Counting of Votes
COMELEC – Commission on Elections Chairman George Garcia was asked about the poll body’s side on Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s claim over the 2025 Senatorial Election results.
Vice Pres. Duterte returned from The Hague, Netherlands a month before the 2025 Midterm Elections and campaigned fervently for her senatorial bets. Vice Pres. Duterte endorsed presidential sister and Senator Imee Marcos.
Aside from Marcos, Duterte also campaigned for Las Piñas District Representative Camille Villar, the daughter of former Senate Pres. Manny Villar and outgoing Sen. Cynthia Villar, and the PDP-Laban bets.
According to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte really called her to ask her to campaign for the senatorial bets of his political party. They are called the #Duter10.

However, despite the fervent call of the Duterte siblings to vote straight the PDP-Laban bets in the 2025 Senatorial Race, not all of the #Duter10 candidates made it to the Top 12. Only five (5) senatorial bets campaigned by Vice Pres. Duterte made it to the Senate Magic 12:

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte expressed doubts on the results of the May 2025 Senatorial Election. She expressed her belief that more senatorial bets of the PDP-Laban should have won seats in the senatorial race.
According to Duterte, she also asked some IT experts who claimed that the results of the senatorial race are impossible. The Vice President admitted to telling the PDP-Laban to ask the Comelec about the manner of the canvassing of votes.
