After finding out that Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto are following each other online, people online started to ship them. According to the beauty queen, the Instagram follow was her first and only online interaction with the mayor.
Gray shared that they are just simply mutuals on the said platform.
Recently, she reacted to the reactions of the people after finding out that they are following each other. She expressed that she was surprised and was not expecting that netizens would put meaning to it.
Their ship name is “ViCat,” a combination of their names, and she laughed when she was asked if she was aware of this. She nonetheless reiterated that there is nothing going on between them.
“Hindi ko talaga inexpect, basta [there are] happy people. There’s nothing really much more than the mutual follow,” she said.

Meanwhile, Vico was held as the most trusted mayor in Metro Manila this year. He also won in the Halalan 2025 as mayor of Pasig City, his last term. With this recognition given to him, he left a comment and was amused by some things he had discovered.

Mayor Vico is the son of celebrities Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes. He has long been private about his personal life and has focused on his job as the mayor of Pasig City.
