Lady Netizen Expresses Frustration After Sister Refuses to Pay Back Borrowed Money
A lady netizen gets upset after her older sister allegedly refused to pay back money that was meant for her child’s surgery.
Recently, Shoddy_Regret3851, a Reddit user, shared her frustration after her sister refused to return the money she borrowed. The post quickly circulated on social media and garnered various reactions from the online community.
According to her, she lent her older sister P90,000, the money she and her partner had been saving for their baby’s cleft palate surgery. Her sister borrowed the money on May 15, promising to return it quickly.
Since she had a history of paying back loans before, the mother trusted her and agreed. But weeks passed, and things took a turn. Instead of paying her back, the sister allegedly blocked her on all platforms.
Even attempts to message her through TikTok and other social media accounts led to more blocks. She even tried reaching out through mutual contacts but was ignored.
The lady netizen gets more upset after noticing her sister giving out expensive virtual gifts on TikTok, just days after borrowing the money. It made her feel like the borrowed amount wasn’t really used for an emergency or important need.
The woman explained that she lives in Manila, while her sister is in Mindanao. Because of the distance, visiting in person isn’t an option. Their parents, who also tried to contact the sister, were also ignored.
