Gary Valenciano became a victim of this fake news
Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano slammed this post using him in an advertisement for a product that is supposed to be for cancer.
Gary is a living testament of a survivor. He went through a lot when it came to his health. At a young age, he already started battling diabetes. He had a heart bypass and was diagnosed with cancer.
Fortunately, he was able to survive this through medication, his lifestyle, prayers, and the love and support from his loved ones and fans.
Just recently, Gary Valenciano was used to promote a product. In his Instagram post, the OPM Icon shared a screenshot of a Facebook post showing his image with the text above saying, “How to be cancer free?”
Then, below his image was, “Lunas na mabisa at mabilis umepekto.” A large and bold “FAKE NEWS” was placed over this. In the caption of his post, Gary stressed, “It’s as fake as fake can be. Be careful friends!!!! Thank you to all who informed me of this lie.”
In the comment section of his post, Gary received love and support from his social media followers. “Dami naman po talagang Fake ngayon, gumagamit pa ng mga Videos ng mga Celebrities para maka-benta po sila ng products nila,” a netizen said slamming the fake news.
To recall, back in 2018, based on the article in GMA Network, Gary also became a victim of fake news. Death hoaxes circulated claiming that he passed away.
A fake headline stated, “Just in: Gary Valenciano died due to heart failure after having a heart operation. 1964-2018.” Angeli Pangilinan, Gary Valenciano’s wife and manager was quick to shut down the death rumors. She assured the public that her husband was alive and well. After that, Gary did several shows and concerts.
