Pres. Bongbong Marcos Asked about his ‘Declining’ Trust Rating in Survey

BONGBONG MARCOS – The Pulse Asia survey result had the President’s trust rating lower than those of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.

Several opinion polling bodies conduct survey on the trust rating of the people to the president and the vice president. In some cases, they launched a monthly survey among a determined number of respondents.

Recently, the Pulse Asia Research Incorporated which usually conducts survey every month released the results of its survey for the month of May. Based on the results, the trust rating of Pres. Bongbong Marcos increased while Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s trust rating decreased but she remains to have higher points compared with the Chief Executive.

Pres. Marcos scored 32% in May bearing a 3-point increase from his 29% trust rating in April. Vice Pres. Duterte slipped by 7 points from 57% in April to 50% in May. Marcos Jr.’s predecessor, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, had a trust rating of 63%.

Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos was asked about his declining trust ratings. Based on a report on PhilStar, the Chief Executive downplayed his trust rating which is lower than the trust ratings of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.

“There are other surveys. Let’s not base it on one,” he said.

Pres. Marcos urges the people to know your source as imperfect information “make imperfect decisions”. According to the Chief Executive, the more perfect the information, the more perfect your decision will be.

“That is one source of information, and you have to understand where it’s actually coming from,” the President expressed.

Based on the report, in previous interviews with the members of the press, Pres. Bongbong Marcos stressed that he does not make decisions so he can achieve good ratings.

Malacañang also previously blamed the “Fake News” in the drop of Marcos Jr.’s trust rating in March.
