A coffee chain in Iloilo City claps back at Euleen Castro following the vlogger’s negative review.
Social media influencer Euleen Castro did not like her experience at this famous coffee shop in Iloilo City, and this is the shop’s response.
Where do you draw the line between honesty and being respectful? A cafe chain in Iloilo City was visited by “Pambansang Yobab” or Euleen Castro. The social media influencer is fondly called Yobab by many, and her experience in this famous coffee shop earned various reactions from people, and the coffee shop itself responded to her apparent negative feedback about their food and coffee.

“Walang masarap. Even the drinks, even the lasagna. Lahat matabang,” Yobab said in one of her recent videos with a sad face while inside the cafe, and the food right in front of her. She aired her overall judgment about the pastries and drinks without much context
In the caption, her disclaimer said, “Kanya kanya po tayo ng panlasa pwedeng hindi masarap sakin pero sa iba masarap.”
Her video has caught the attention of the coffee shop. While they appreciate the feedback that will help them learn and improve, they were, however, “taken back” after hearing the “strong and explicit language” used in the review.
They understand that not everyone shares the same taste, but they believe that comments can be relayed in a respectful manner. They are as well concerned of such comments, especially coming from someone with a wide audience online.
“We’re proud of the work our team puts into creating a positive experience for every guest, and language that crosses the line can be disheartening—not only to us but to the people who work hard every day to serve our customers,” the statement said.
It added that they have received a lot of comments in the 20 years of serving and brewing for the people, but they have never received one as insulting as the one that came from Yobab.
“If you had shared your concerns with our staff during your visit, we would have been more than happy to enhance your food or drinks to your liking. We truly value guest satisfaction and do our best to accommodate preferences whenever possible.”
