PAGASA Says 3 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that three weather systems will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (May 27, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The ITCZ, frontal system, and easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Daniel James reported that three weather systems affecting the Philippines will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains.

“Today, the ITCZ will bring a high chance of cloudiness and scattered thunderstorms over parts of the Zamboanga Peninsula, Western Visayas, and the Palawan area,” Villamil said.
The Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Zamboanga Peninsula, Western Visayas, and Palawan.
The frontal system will bring similar weather conditions over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

The ITCZ will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.
“In the rest of Mindanao, the ITCZ still prevails, but generally fair weather is expected. This may be accompanied by isolated rain showers with thunder and lightning, especially in the afternoon until evening,” he added.
The easterlies will bring hot weather from morning until noon in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and the Visayas. Brief rain showers are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
No low-pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation within the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition across the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA. No gale warning was raised over any of the country’s seaboard.
