Netizen Gets His Own Father Fired From Job After Years of Abandonment
A male netizen had his father fired from his job after the latter abandoned their family and stopped providing support.
Recently, “AkoBaYungGago,” a Reddit user, shared how he took steps to get his father fired from his job. He also opened up about his decision, explaining the long history of pain and neglect behind it. The post elicited comments from the online community.
According to the post, the father left the family years ago and never supported his two children. Since then, the user has been the one providing for his younger sibling, who is still in school. Despite everything, they chose to stay silent about the situation.
The sender’s grandmother shared that the father had shown up in their hometown, drinking with relatives and proudly talking about his children from another relationship. He didn’t even ask how his original family was doing.
The netizen recalled years of abuse, neglect, and violence, which resurfaced in that moment. Fueled by a mix of anger and unresolved trauma, he reached out to an uncle to find out where his father worked.
He then contacted the office and informed them that his father had been involved in theft and drug use in the past, even citing a police report to support the claims. When asked who he was, he simply said he used to work with him.
A year later, during a visit to his grandmother, he learned that his father had lost the job and was now struggling, driving a motorcycle for a living. Though unsure if his actions directly caused it, the timing made him believe he had played a part.

Sinabi ko na nakasuhan na yan dati ng pagnanakaw sa dati niyang company (which is true). May police report pa nga, kaya hindi ko alam paano siya nakalusot sa kanila. Sabi ko, imbestigahan nila agad kasi gumagamit din yan ng shabu dati—kaya hindi ko alam kung clean na ba siya.
