A female customer from Capiz was left angry and disappointed after discovering a lizard mixed into the suman she bought from the market.
Recently, Marjorie Salarde, a Facebook user,shared photos and a video of the suman that appeared to have a dead lizard inside. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions from the online community.
According to Marjorie, she bought the suman from a vendor in Altavas, Aklan. She said her intention in sharing the post was not to ruin the seller’s business but to warn other buyers to check their food carefully before eating or even purchasing it.
In her post, she explained that she only found out about the unwanted “ingredient” when her child was about to eat the suman. Instead of the usual coconut topping or latik, there was a small lizard mixed in with the sticky rice.
