Stronger and Wiser: Carla Abellana Embraces a Fresh Start in Love
CARLA ABELLANA – Kapuso star Carla Abellana admits she’s cautiously stepping back into the dating scene, choosing to embrace love with newfound wisdom and hope.
After facing emotional challenges in her past relationship, actress Carla Abellana is now ready to embrace love once more. In a candid interview with Julius Babao, the Kapuso star revealed that her heart is open again, and she is slowly stepping back into the world of dating.
Carla clarified that she’s not actively dating in the conventional sense but remains open to possibilities. “Yes, sa maraming bagay,” she said when asked if her heart was open again. “Hindi naman po sa dating, dating, ‘yung typical dating na lumalabas na ganyan pero lagi ko naman pong sinasabi na open naman po ako.”
Carla Abellana also shared that while there are people showing interest in her, she is being more cautious this time around. “Lagi ko pong sinasabi na may mga nagpaparamdam pero syempre, nag-iingat din po ako na after what happened to me mga ganon. Kailangan pipiliin ko po talaga ng Mabuti,” Carla added.
Having learned from her past, Carla is now more mindful of red flags in potential partners. She emphasized the importance of integrity, honesty, and respect in a relationship. “Ang importante, integrity po diba, ‘yung honesty, ‘yung respect,” she said, highlighting that kindness and transparency are non-negotiable for her. “Honest, may respeto, wala pong tinatagong kahit anong bagay at tsaka mabait. Simple lang, integrity at tsaka mabait.”
For Carla, love is not measured by the length of time spent together but by the depth of understanding between two people. She firmly believes that truly knowing someone’s character is what makes a relationship meaningful and lasting.
Carla was previously married to actor Tom Rodriguez. The two tied the knot in October 2021 but ended their marriage in June 2022. Despite the pain of that chapter, Carla appears to have grown stronger and wiser, now looking ahead with hope and a renewed sense of self-worth.
