Anjo Yllana has moved on from what happened in the 2025 elections
Actor Anjo Yllana said that he has already recovered from his election loss but he has a “panghihinayang.”
Anjo was one of the many celebrities who decided to run for a local position in the 2025 elections. He ran for vice-mayor of Calamba City, Laguna.
Unfortunately, he was one of the celebrities who did not win. Based on the article in PEP, Anjo said that he has moved on from the election result.

However, Anjo Yllana said that somehow he had a “panghihinayang” with what happened.
“Naka-recover na ako, kaya lang, sa totoo lang, medyo nasaktan ako nang umikot ako sa 54 barangays sa Calamba dahil marami ang walang trabaho,” he said.
He shared that it was an industrial zone and almost a hundred companies were located there. Anjo said that he talked to the owners who were Japanese and Koreans, and they said that they are mass hiring.
“Nung nakilala nila ako, sabi ko ‘Can I refer?’ ‘Yes, refer!’ Lahat ng ire-refer mo, tutulungan namin.’ Yung mga hindi na-hire, kulang sa requirements, sa NBI… mahihirap lang kasi. Sabi ko, sagot ko na yan, mabigyan ko lang sila ng trabaho,” he said.
Anjo added that it was his dream to alleviate the poverty in certain areas in Calamba. The actor also shared that he was broken-hearted not because she lost but because he could have helped a lot of people if he won.

He said that his plan would not involve money from the government because he would put in the line his name and his position if ever.
When asked if he will run in the 2028 elections, Anjo Yllana said that he is not sure yet. He shared that he had no plan to run for vice mayor because his plan was to run for councilor but he was told that a candidate for vice mayor was needed.
Anjo also shared that when he and Sen. Tito Sotto had a conversation, he said that he did not want to run anymore but he said that he was convinced by the former Senate President to revive his political career.
