Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Speaks on Suggestion to Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte.
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President revealed her advice to her brother, Davao First District Congressman Paolo Duterte, if he will not win House Speaker.
Several members of the family of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte won in the 2025 Elections. Even former Pres. Duterte himself who is currently detained in The Hague won mayor in Davao City.
Outgoing Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte won vice mayor of the city in the 2025 Elections. Davao First District Cong. Paolo Duterte won his reelection bid. His son, Omar Duterte, will join him in the House of Representatives after winning as congressman of Davao’s Second District.
Following the multiple wins of the Duterte family in the 2025 Elections, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s children and grandchildren held a family meeting for their thanksgiving. All the children of the former President were present and had an overnight bonding.
Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte were spotted in a thanksgiving mass. They even joined the offering together at a mass held at the Carmelite Church in Lanang, Davao City.
Based on a report on PhilStar, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte recently revealed her advice to Davao First District Cong. Paolo Duterte. According to her, she asked he brother if he will run for the House Speakership but he has not responded.
“I told Congressman Pulong, I said to him, maybe you want to run for speaker? He didn’t answer … Maybe he’s also thinking about his chances being far-fetched,” the Vice President said.
According to VP Sara, she advised her brother to take the minority leadership if he will not win as House Speaker in the House of Representatives. Based on the report, Congressman Pulong has also not answered on it.
“If you don’t win speaker, then take the minority leadership. But he hasn’t given an answer yet. So I guess he’s still thinking about it,” she expressed.
Based on the report, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte revealed that Congressman Paolo Duterte’s only comment to her was an advice not to get into conflicts as she has just attended a church mass.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has a looming impeachment trial which she said she has no expectations from. According to her, she has already accepted whether she will be acquitted or found guilty in the trial.
