CIDG Confirms Tracker Teams Sent To Capture Individuals w/ Warrant over Illegal POGO Investigation
CIDG – The Criminal Investigation Detection Group deployed tracker teams across the nation to arrest Harry Roque, Cassandra Ong, and others.
The Angeles City Regional Trial Court Branch 118 has recently issued arrest warrants against former presidential spokesman Harry Roque, Cassandra Ong, and 49 other people. Roque and Ong are among the individuals investigated over the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in the country.

Previously, the House of Representatives cited Harry Roque for contempt and ordered his arrest. He went missing from the public’s eye for around six (6) months until he was spotted with Vice President Sara Duterte in The Netherlands. He initially claimed that he will be one of the lawyers who will defend former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte in his legal battle before the International Criminal Court (ICC).
However, he was excluded from the ICC legal team of Duterte. Former presidential spokesman Harry Roque previously said that he is now an asylum seeker in the Netherlands. His statement came amid Malacañang’s series of call for him to return to the country.

According to Harry Roque, he allegedly cannot be deported to the Philippines while his bid for asylum in the Netherlands is ongoing. He also expressed that he does not have to hide anymore. According to him, the asylum application process may take a year and a half.

Recently, following the release of an arrest warrant against former presidential spokesman Harry Roque, Cassandra Ong, and 49 others, the CIDG deployed tracker teams across the nation for the arrest of the accused. Based on a report on Inquirer, PNP Public Information Office (PIO) chief Col. Randulf Tuaño made the confirmation.
“As of early morning today, the tracker teams are tracking and pursuing the 51 accused-subjects of the arrest warrant across the country,” he said.
Based on the report, with regards to Cassandra Ong, the tracker teams are already coordinating with the Bureau of Immigration. In the case of the accused who are not in the country, previously, the Department of Justice or DOJ said they may seek the assistance of the Interpol in the arrest of Harry Roque.
