Woman Gifted Her Mother w/ Brand New Phone
BIRTHDAY GIFT – A woman moved netizens after giving her mother a new cellphone as a gift for her 60th birthday.
Recently, Maru Guayco, a Facebook user, shared a video showing her mother’s emotional reaction upon receiving the phone. The post quickly went viral and gained plenty of reactions online.
In the video, Guayco’s mother is seen getting emotional as she receives the unexpected gift. The old phone she had used for years was finally replaced with a brand-new one.
Maru explained that it took her nine years of working to finally give her mother something she truly deserved. While some people had told her to focus on herself instead of giving too much, she felt that showing love through simple gestures like this was more meaningful.
“I was supposed to tell her even before the delivery. After nine years, I could finally give Mama a cellphone. It’s just a small thing compared to all her sacrifices, raising four kids as a single mom,” she said.
For her, this wasn’t just about the phone, it was a symbol of love, appreciation, and everything her mother had done to raise four children as a single parent.
“What looks like ‘too much’ to others is simply what I’m happy to give. It’s not an obligation, it’s love,” Guayco added.
