Former Sen. Manny Pacquiao Set for Boxing Fight in July 2025
MANNY PACQUIAO – The Filipino boxing champion confirmed his comeback to the sports after his senatorial bid failed in the 2025 Elections.
The 2025 Senatorial Election is over and, according to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), 99.12% election returns has already been transmitted. The supporters of the Top 12 senators are already rejoicing and complacent over their looming victories.

Former Sen. Manny Pacquiao failed to enter in the Top 12 among the senatorial candidates in the 2025 Elections. Reelectionist senator Christopher “Bong” Go remains the frontrunner of the senatorial race.

As for former Sen. Manny Pacquiao, the boxing legend-turned-polician ranks 18th with 10,360,733 votes. Meanwhile, despite his loss in the 20225 Elections, Pacquiao expressed his thanks to his supporters. He vowed that his service continues for God, the Filipino people, and the country.

Pacquiao was one of the candidates endorsed by Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago which he called his “dream team”. The President led the campaign of the senatorial bets of the administration.
Recently, former Sen. Manny Pacquiao confirmed his comeback to the boxing arena. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the 46-year-old multiple boxing titleholder is set to fight against Mario Barrios for his WBC Welterweight title.
Based on the report, the upcoming fight of Pacquiao against the 29-year-old American boxer is aligned with his induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in June. The fight is set to be held in Las Vegas.
Previously, Pacquiao announced his retirement from the boxing field when he ran for president in 2022. However, he lost to Marcos Jr. Despite that not all the Alyansa senatorial bets won a seat, the President assured that the work and mission of the alliance continues.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos also thanked the Filipinos who voted in the 2025 Elections as well as express his gratitude for the Alyansa supporters.
