Sarah Discaya shared this message after Vico Sotto was proclaimed again as Pasig Mayor
Businesswoman Sarah Discaya, the opponent of reelected Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, said that in her heart, she won.
Sarah is a newbie in the political scene in Pasig but her stint became loud because she ran against one of the most loved political figures now in the Philippines. On the day of the elections, the businesswoman caught the attention of the online community after she revealed that it was her first time to vote.
With this, she was bashed by netizens for being a first-time voter with her reason that she had a hard time registering before.

Early Tuesday, May 13, Vico Sotto was already proclaimed as the winner because of the massive number of votes he garnered from the people of Pasig.
With this, Sarah Discaya shared a post on her Facebook page thanking the people who went with her during campaign events. “Kasama ko kayo sa paglalakad, sa pagdarasal, sa bawat ngiti at yakap na puno ng pag-asa,” she wrote.
The businesswoman also said that her supporters are her strength and they are the reason why more people were able to know about her, and that she received love from many Pasigueño.

“Hindi po kami pinalad sa boto, pero sa puso ko — alam kong panalo tayo,” she said, adding that her win is about making new friends, having the chance to serve the people, and spread hope and love even though she was not elected.
She said that it is true that there is no need for someone to be a politician to give help and love others. Sarah also stressed that her mission is not yet finished and that she will continue to listen, help, and take part in the story of every Pasigueño.
“Salamat po sa tiwala at suporta ninyo. Hinding-hindi ko po ‘yan kakalimutan,” Vico Sotto’s opponent said, adding that she is hopeful that in the right timing, her win not just for herself but for others will happen.
