Vilma Santos and her sons, Luis Manzano and Ryan Recto, have received these votes in Batangas in the Halalan 2025, or midterm elections.

Former House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Vilma Santos-Recto and her sons, Luis Manzano and Ryan Recto, are running this midterm election. The veteran actress is again eyeing leading Batangas as governor, while Luis is her running mate as vice governor. Ryan is running for a congressional seat to represent Batangas’ 6th District.

Halalan 2025, or the midterm elections, has just concluded. The votes are in, and leading in Batangas is Vilma, who now has more than 600,000 votes according to the Comelec Transparency server as of 10:18 PM, May 12, 2025.

Luis, on the other hand, comes second with 520,499. Ahead of him is Dodo Mandanas, who, as of this writing, received 756,975 votes. Ryan comes first on the list with 82,587.

With the three of them running for different public positions, people accused them of political dynasty, which they denied. The Star For All Seasons expressed, “Damned if you, damned if you don’t. You do good, may sasabihin. You do bad, may sasabihin sa iyo.”

She downplayed the accusation, saying the people have chosen them because of their competence and service.

With the result as of this writing, it appeared Santos was poised to return to the Batangas capitol after defeating her rivals in the province’s gubernatorial race, followed by Mike Rivera with 486,475 votes and Jay Manalo Ilagan with 248,211 votes, based on the partial and unofficial results.

Meanwhile, Bong Go leads the senatorial race of the midterm elections.
