Halalan 2025: Celebrities Running For Local Positions Cast Their Votes

HALALAN 2025 – This election day, several celebrities are running for positions and have cast their votes already.

To vote is everyone’s right, and May 12 marked the day when people could exercise this right again. Among those who were up early on Monday to cast their votes at their respective precincts for Halalan 2025 are several local celebrities, who, at the same time, are running for local positions.

Actor Enzo Pineda arrived at Kaligayahan Elementary School in Novaliches, Quezon City. He is running for councilor in Quezon City’s Fifth District. As an actor, he is known for his roles in “‘Til I Met You,” “Pusong Ligaw,” “Bagani,” and “Can’t Buy Me Love.”

Actress Aiko Melendez also cast her vote in Quezon City. She is running for councilor in Quezon City’s 5th District. After 11 years, she is seeking a chance to return to public service.

Veteran actress Vilma Santos-Recto also went to her precinct in Batangas to vote. She is running for governor of the province, with her son, host-actor Luis Manzano, as her running mate. Her other son, Ryan Recto, is running for representative in Batangas’s 6th district.

Former actress Abby Viduya, running for councilor in Parañaque 1st District, also made her way to vote as a responsible citizen. She wanted to enter politics because: “Kasi it’s Jom’s last term, para ituloy ang serbisyong tatak Yllana ako naman ang magtutuloy ng serbisyo. … Ang ginagawa ni Jom ay inilalapit niya ang serbisyo ng gobyerno sa tao, ‘yun ang ginagawa ng aking asawa, so itutuloy ko po.”

Actress Angelu de Leon has cast her vote as well. She is running for her second term as a Pasig City councilor.

Actor Alfred Vargas went to SM City Fairview to vote. He is seeking reelection as councilor in Quezon City’s 5th District. 

Ejay Falcon cast his vote at Barangay Cacawan in Pinamalayan. He is pursuing a seat in the 2nd District of Oriental Mindoro. In 2022, he was elected vice governor of Oriental Mindoro.
