Recently, Duterte Youth Party-List Chairperson Ronald Cardema and his wife, Duceille Marie, attempted to file a Pres. Bongbong Marcos impeachment complaint. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the couple went to the House of Representatives but the Secretary General was not around to receive the complaint.

“The Office of the SecGen is not accepting it, because wala raw ngayong araw na ito ang SecGen… Ang nakalagay naman sa procedures, it is the office, not the person himself,” Mr. Cardema said.

Based on the report, from May 6 to 8, the Office of the Secretary General is also set to have its strategic planning session. The Cardema couple intends to return to the House of Representative next week to file the impeachment complaint against Pres. Bongbong Marcos.

The complainant seeking for the Pres. Bongbong Marcos impeachment accused the Chief Executive of an alleged culpable violation of the Philippine Constitution and his alleged betrayal of public trust due to the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

The Cardema couple believes that former Pres. Duterte’s right to due process was allegedly violated in the arrest. The former President was immediately flow to The Hague on the same day that he was arrested.

Currently, the Vice President is faced with a looming impeachment trial but her lawyers are confident to win it. According to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, she is “at peace” whatever is the result of the impeachment trial.
