Mother Slams Teacher For Allegedly Taping Her Daughter’s Mouth
A mother cries for justice after a teacher allegedly tied and taped her daughter’s mouth at a private school.
Recently, Shaney Pepito, a Facebook user, shared her young daughter’s disturbing experience at a private preschool in Samal, Bataan. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
According to Shaney, her five-year-old child came home scared and hesitant to attend school. When asked, the child confessed that her teacher had tied her hands and put masking tape on her mouth.
The mother said it was painful to hear this from her daughter. She also discovered that other parents had similar stories about the same school, some dating back years. Children who are now in college reportedly still remember these experiences as traumatic.
In the videos included in the post, the child could be seen using hand gestures to explain how she was tied up. Pepito also shared screenshots of her conversations with the teacher and the school principal.
Pepito reported the incident to the Department of Education (DepEd) in Balanga and spoke to the school’s board. However, she was told it was hard to believe young children about such matters.
Some parents suggested she forgive and move on, but she said she couldn’t let it go without at least an apology from the teachers involved.
The mother said the incident affected her daughter, who now has nightmares and becomes extremely anxious whenever she’s not around.
DepEd’s Child Protection Policy clearly bans any form of corporal punishment, including tying a child. As of now, the school has not released a statement, only saying that the matter is under investigation.
The mother continues to fight for accountability, not just for her daughter, but for all children who may have suffered in silence.
