Alyansa Maintained Camille Villar Part of Team despite PrimeWater Probe
CAMILLE VILLAR – The Las Piñas Representative was endorsed by President Bongbong Marcos again after she was not mentioned in the previous campaigns of the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte have different senatorial slates in the May 2025 Elections. Both of them are fervently campaigning for their bets for senator in the upcoming poll.

While they support different sets of candidates for senator, Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ Alyansa and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte both endorse Camille Villar, the Las Piñas Representative daughter of business giant Manny Villar and Sen. Cynthia Villar. If she wins the election, she will join her brother, Sen. Mark Villar, in the Senate.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos previously tagged the Alyansa candidates as his “dream team”. According to him, everyone in the senatorial slate of his administration has an experience in public service. However, ahead of the election, several incidents took place.

The arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte caused political turmoil in the Philippine government. President sister and Sen. Imee Marcos left the Alyansa saying the recent actions of the government do not match her ideals and principles in life.

Currently, Sen. Marcos is endorsed by Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. Her exit from the Alyansa team left the grand alliance with 11 senatorial bets who are the following:
- Former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos
- Sen. Francis Tolentino
- Sen. Pia Cayetano
- former Sen. Manny Pacquiao
- Makati City Mayor Abby Binay
- Sen. Lito Lapid
- former Senator Panfilo Lacson
- Sen. Ramon ”Bong” Revilla Jr.
- Deputy Speaker Camille Villar
- former Senator Vicente Sotto III,
- former Social Welfare and Development Secretary Erwin Tulfo
However, after Pres. Bongbong Marcos ordered the investigation on the Villar-owned PrimeWater, the President did not mention Camille Villar at the campaign sortie of the Alyansa in Batangas.

Based on a report on GMA News, the President also did not mention Villar at the Alyansa campaign sortie in Dumajug, Cebu. Recently, the grand alliance had a campaign sortie in Malolos, Bulacan. It was the second to the last campaign rally of the Alyansa before the Elections on Monday, May 12.
Based on the report, at the Alyansa campaign sortie in Malolos, Bulacan, Pres. Bongbong Marcos has mentioned Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar in his endorsement speech. He mentioned Villar thrice as he campaigned for the administration’s bets.
“Para po mangyari, upang magka-kapayapaan sa Pilipinas, upang maging makatarungan ang Pilipinas, para po umunlad ang Pilipinas, ‘huwag na po kayong magdalawang isip pa, pagdating po ng Lunes, pag-upo po ninyo, pag-pirma ninyo sa balota, Alyansa straight, Alyansa all the way,” Marcos Jr. said.
Amid the Elections campaign period, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte campaigned on the people not to vote for Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ candidates.
