PAGASA Says Fair Weather to Prevail Over Parts of PH

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that fair weather with chances of rain is expected over parts of the country.

On Tuesday (May 6, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA weather specialist Chenel Dominguez reported that easterlies will bring cloudy skies with rains over parts of the country.

“In Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao regions, due to easterlies, we can expect cloudy skies with scattered rain showers,” Dominguez said.

A low-pressure area was last spotted at 660 kilometers west-northwest of Coron, Palawan, or 455 kilometers north of Kalayaan, Palawan. However, it will not affect the country.

As for Palawan, the rest of the Visayas, and Mindanao, we can expect clear weather but expect heat, especially in the afternoon and evening, mixed with rain,” she added.

The LPA outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has a slim chance of intensifying into a tropical depression.

The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region.

The localized thunderstorms will bring generally fair weather with hot and humid weather, with chances of rain in the afternoon and evening.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over extreme Northern Luzon, the rest of Luzon and the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA
