Unidentified Thief in Libmanan, Camarines Sur Slaughters Cow Before Stealing It
A cow was reportedly slaughtered before being stolen by an unidentified theft in Barangay Bagadion, Libmanan, Camarines Sur.
Livestock theft, also known as cattle rustling or animal theft, is the crime of stealing farm animals such as cows, carabaos, goats, sheep, pigs, or chickens. It involves taking the animals without permission from the rightful owner, often for the purpose of selling them, using them for meat, or personal gain.
Recently, a concerned netizen shared a disturbing video of a cow that was first slaughtered before the meat was taken, leaving behind only the head, bones, and skin. The disturbing scene showed clear signs that the animal had been butchered right where it was kept.

Aside from the stolen cow meat, the uploader of the video also reported that two carabaos in the area had gone missing and have not yet been found. This has raised fears among other livestock owners in the community, especially those who rely on animals for their livelihood.
The Pasacao Municipal Police Station, through its spokesperson Police Chief Master Sergeant Juan Batolina, stated in an interview with a local radio station that they have not yet received a formal complaint from the animal owners.
However, the station chief has already issued instructions to begin an investigation into the incident.
Authorities say anyone found responsible for the theft and illegal slaughter of livestock may face charges. Taking animals without permission is considered a serious crime, and proper legal action will be taken against those proven guilty.
Police are now urging livestock owners to keep their animals close to their homes to prevent similar incidents. Leaving them in isolated or unsecured areas increases the risk of theft. The investigation continues, and local authorities are working to identify those involved and hold them accountable.
