Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Claims She’s Allegedly Barred To Join Rally in Bacolod
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President claimed that she was barred from going up the stage in Bacolod because of her family name.
The Duterte siblings have committed to campaign for the PDP-Laban candidates of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. The chairman of the political party is currently detained in The Hague, Netherlands as he faces the allegation of crime against humanity before the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte previously claimed that FPRRD really called her to remind her to campaign fervently for his PDP-Laban candidates. Aside from the #Duter10, the Vice President is also campaigning for Senator Imee Marcos’ reelection as well as the senatorial candidacy of Las Piñas Congresswoman Camille Villar,
Camille Villar is endorsed by both Pres. Bongbong Marcos and Vice Pres. Duterte. She is part of the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago backed by the administration. According to Vice Pres. Duterte, her senatorial bets share a common vision of a “peaceful and progressive country”.
Vice Pres. Duterte has attended several campaign sorties already where she campaigns for the #Duter10, Sen. Marcos, and Las Piñas Rep. Villar. Her friendship with Sen. Marcos remains amid the controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte last March 11.
However, recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that it is really hard for her to find a stage nowadays. Based on a post on Facebook, the Vice President also claimed that in Bacolod, she was barred from going up stage because of her family name.
Duterte claimed that all was already set in two (2) campaign rallies. However, according to her, when she was already on her way to the rally, she was informed that she cannot go up the stage because she is a Duterte.
“Kahapon doon ako sa Bacolod mayroon na akong rally. Sabi ko, ‘Rally’. Dalawa na ‘yung rally, okay na, pumayag na, ganito, ganyan, ganyan. Tapos nung gabi na papunta na ako dun sa rally, sinabi sa akin, ‘Ay hindi ka pwede sumampa sa stage namin, dahil ano ka, dahil Duterte ka.’ Mahirap, mahirap talaga maghanap ng stage ngayon,” the Vice President said based on a post.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is currently faced with a looming impeachment trial and many other issues. The Vice President was impeached by the House of Representatives last February 5. The National Bureau of Investigation also filed a case against her over her “kill” remarks against Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
