Billy Crawford gave a hint at what the viewers can expect from ‘Masked Singer Pilipinas’
Singer-host Billy Crawford talked about the contestants included in Masked Singers Pilipinas Season 3.
Billy returns as the host of the Philippine version of the American show which features celebrities who can sing. The judges have the task to eliminate a contestant every episode and the twist is that no one knows who is that contestant until the mask is taken off.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Billy gave some clues about who will be included in the new season of the show.
Billy Crawford said that there is a veteran personality among the contestants. He also said that some are comedians and there is a lot to expect. “Meron din personalities, all ages,” he added.
He also hinted at having a returning celebrity in their show. When it comes to guessing, Billy said that people should really expect the unexpected.
Billy also shared that even the people from the production team have no idea who the contestants are.
“Even the contestants, they’re not allowed to speak in general. Sa nakakaalam, behind the scenes, pagpasok po bago kami dumating, host, judges. Pagtapos ng staff, the contestants, the masked singers come in,” the singer-host shared.
He added that the contestants are wearing masks and not just the costumes. This means that they don’t have any idea who the other contestants are. They would just see the masked singer when they would perform on stage.
“There’s only a few of the staff that know who the artists are at may mga multa pa yan. Kung magbanggit sila ng pangalan, kapag nadulas sila, may PHP500 [fine] yata. Basta kailangan nilang magbayad ng multa kasi bawal na bawal yan,” Billy Crawford enthused. The judges-detectives for this season are Janno Gibbs, Pops Fernandez, Arthur Nery, and Nadine Lustre.
Aside from being the host of Masked Singers Pilipinas, Billy was also one of the coaches of The Voice Philippines under GMA Network. He has done two seasons already, The Voice Generations and The Voice Kids.
