One of the most famous personalities in the field of sports, specifically basketball, is Kobe Paras. He is the youngest of ex-celebrity couple Benjie Paras and Jackie Forster. Her brother, Andrei Paras, is an actor.
Kobe Paras Family
He is named after the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant. He was born Kobe Lorenzo Forster Paras on September 19, 1997. As of this writing, he is 27 years old and falls under the Virgo sign in Western astrology and was born in the Year of the Ox in the Chinese zodiac.
His parents are Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) star and actor Benjie Paras and Jackie Forster, who had a short-lived acting career. His older brother, Andre Paras, is a basketball player and actor, but is more focused on being the latter.
He has two younger half-brothers, Riley and Sam, from his father’s side, and two half-brothers and a half-sister from his mother’s side.

He played for one season under the Cathedral High School Phantoms. During his senior year, he played for the Middlebrooks Academy, and he was named “No. 10 player in California by 247sports.com.”
According to reports in 2016, he initially committed to play for the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), but this did not happen after “failing to meet certain academic requirements.”
The requirements he was not able to meet were not specified. He played for Creighton University and appeared in 15 games. When he returned to the Philippines, he entered the University of the Philippines. He played a key role in leading the Fighting Maroons to multiple victories during UAAP Season 82, and was Player of the Week at his debut.
Professional career:
- Niigata Albirex BB (2021–2022): In Japan’s B.League, Kobe debuted with a 25-point performance.
- Altiri Chiba (2022–2023): Kobe transferred to Altiri Chiba in the B.League Division 2, but parted ways with the team in March 2023.
Kobe Paras and Erika Poturnak
They were reported to be in a relationship from 2022 to 2023. The female is the daughter of actress Ina Raymundo and businessman Brian Poturnak. Kobe and Erika have an on-and-off relationship.
Following their breakup, the athlete got into a relationship with Kapuso actress Kyline Alcantara.

Currently, the pair is facing issues because of their split. Allegations of cheating made headlines online, and Kobe was put at the center of this allegation after he was spotted with another girl in Bali.
