Male Customer Earns Admiration for Showing Kindness Toward Food Delivery Riders
A male customer gained admiration online after showing simple but heartfelt kindness to food delivery riders.
Recently, the Facebook page Kuya J Confessions shared a sender’s post about a food delivery rider’s heartfelt sentiment. The post immediately spread like wildfire on social media and elicited comments from the netizens.
The post came from a sender who ordered food after a long and exhausting day. Too tired to cook, he decided to use a delivery app. His preferred restaurant wasn’t available on one platform, so he used another.

While waiting outside his house for the food to arrive, the delivery rider came and a short but meaningful conversation followed. The rider was surprised to see him using a different app and commented that he usually delivers to the same customer through another service.
The delivery rider shared something unexpected. He said he always appreciated how this customer would meet him at the gate right away, without needing a call or a message. This gesture made his tiring day a bit lighter.
The worker explained how most of his customers didn’t even bother to meet him, making him wait under the scorching sun while trying to call them several times. He admitted he was exhausted and just needed someone to talk to.

“Sobrang pagod ako buong araw to the point na pag-uwi ko sa bahay, gusto ko nang matulog imbis na magluto. So I decided na umorder sa Foodpanda kaya lang wala yung store na prefer ko. Ginamit ko yung Grab. After ilang minutes hinintay ko na sa labas yung rider since 1 minute nalang nasa gate na namin. Binigay nya yung food then we had a little convo.
“Sir, foodpanda kayo umo-order ah? Bakit grab na?”
“Wala po kasi yung store na ‘yan sa foodpanda.”
“Ah, may sasabihin ako sir.”
At this point kinabahan ako. Baka hiraman ako ng pera or what?! Pero sige, ayoko naman maging rude.
“Natutuwa ako sa inyo, sir. Tuwing nade-deliver-an ko kayo, lagi agad kayong sumasalubong sa akin. Hindi ko na kayo kailangan tawagan o i-text…”
“Nakasanayan na lang talaga, kuya.”
“Buong araw, pagod ako. Lahat ng naging customer ko ngayon, ni isa hindi ako sinalubong man lang. Kailangan tawagan pa. Nainis nga ako sa isa kanina. lang beses tinatawagan, hindi sumasagot.”
“Ano pong ginawa nyo?”
“Lumabas naman kalaunan, sir. Pero natagalan. Pasensya na, sir ha? Wala lang talaga akong mahingahan. Foodpanda ako dati, sir. Noon pa lang, salubong talaga kayo. Salamat sir.”
Inabot ko agad yung tip at nag pasalamat. Kinwento ko sa GF ko to pagka-pasok ko sa loob. Habang nag vo-voice record, umiyak ako nang umiyak. Hindi ko maintindihan.
