The authorities were alerted to the incident by a barangay watchman, who informed them of a violent altercation at the scene.
Upon arriving at the bakery, police found seven lifeless bodies inside. “During the crime scene processing ay pito ang confirmed na patay,” said the Rizal police chief. Authorities did not disclose the identities of the victims or the suspect at the time of the report.
The suspect, whose identity remains unannounced, surrendered to the Philippine National Police (PNP) at their headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City, shortly after the attack.
