Rider & e-Trike Driver Get Into Fist Fight Over Road Rage Incident in Antipolo, Rizal
A motorcycle rider and an e-trike driver get into an intense physical fight in Antipolo, Rizal, after a road rage incident.
On Thursday (April 3, 2025), a video captured a fight between a motorcycle rider and an e-trike driver on Sumulong Highway in Antipolo, Rizal. In the video, the rider can be seen pulling the driver out of the e-trike and pushing him toward a retaining wall before they started fighting.
Soon after, another rider can be seen approaching to break up the fight between the two.
Henessy Solomon, a local resident, expressed concern about the increasing number of such incidents in their area. She mentioned that it is worrying because, instead of driving smoothly, people are getting interrupted by fights and road rage, which can make travel dangerous.
“Papasok po ako ng duty, tapos traffic po kasi sa pababa ng Fatima… Ang nakita po namin is aalis na po yung e-trike tapos biglang nadanggil niya po ata yung motor. Ta’s bigla na po bumaba ng motor po yung lalaki ta’s sinuntok na po yung nasa e-trike,” Solomon said.
“Nakakatakot lang po sa part natin na madamay po sa ganoon, na imbes na dire-diretso na po yung biyahe, nai-interrupt po dahil sa ganoon,” she added.
According to PLtCol. Ryan Manongdo, the commander of Antipolo Police Station, no formal complaints have been filed regarding the incident because the individuals involved have already settled the matter on their own.
However, the incident was just one of the many examples of road rage in the area. Just a day before, a man died after being shot in another road rage incident in Antipolo.
The shooting happened on Sunday, and the victim passed away on Monday, showing the serious consequences that road rage can lead to.
The police have reminded all drivers and passengers to practice discipline and patience on the road. The authorities hope that drivers will remember to stay cool-headed, especially in stressful situations on the road, to prevent accidents and keep everyone safe.
