“Ang pinakahuli niyang message po sa akin, sabi niya, ‘Anak, pakihalik mo ako sa mga apo ko. Hug mo ‘ko sa kanila. Sabihin mo sa kanila na mahal na mahal ko sila,’” the actor said about what his mom said.
He told his mom not to say that because they would still have a family outing and they would celebrate her birthday, which was supposed to be on May 21.
Ian also shared that Nora was surrounded by her loved ones during her last moments. “Lahat po kami binantayan namin siya, talagang hindi namin po siya iniwanan sa tabi niya,” he said.

When asked how he wants people would remember his mom, Ian said, “Ang pagiging malapit sa Diyos.” He added that their entire life was not easy because of many trials they went through. Even though struggles and misunderstandings were present, it was important that they still clung on their faith and learned to forgive.
