David Licauco is not a third party in JakBie breakup
Kapuso actor David Licauco asserted that he has no involvement in the breakup between former couple actress Barbie Forteza and actor Jak Roberto.
The JakBie relationship lasted for seven years. Their fans somehow anticipated that they will eventually end up together. Despite having different onscreen partners, there was no issue in their relationship when they were still a couple.
Fans even quipped that Jak is the master of “anti-selos” because he was not affected by the popularity of Barbie’s loveteam with David. Even Jak’s sister Sanya Lopez showed support for the BarDa loveteam.
However, Barbie and Jak’s breakup became the first most trending celebrity separation this year. The actress confirmed their breakup through a social media post.
Several speculations that Jak cheated on Barbie surfaced online. However, the actor was defended by his fans. With that separation, fans could not help but ship Barbie and David in real life, especially that they are now both single. When asked if he is ready to go to the next level with Barbie, David said that this is not their priority.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, David stressed that he had nothing to do with the JakBie breakup. “Wala akong kinalaman,” he said. He also stressed that he and Barbie would not even message each other often before.
Even though he and Barbie are in a loveteam partnership, and it was teased earlier that they will have an upcoming project, David shared that the actress is very supportive of his solo projects, like his recent movie Samahan ng mga Makasalanan.
Barbie was present during the movie’s special screening. She also had a positive feedback in the actor’s performance in the movie.
