What’s next for David Licauco and Barbie Forteza?
Kapuso actor David Licauco was asked if he is ready to go to the next level with actress Barbie Forteza.
Barbie and David’s tandem is now known as BarDa. Their first onscreen partnership happened in the historical portal drama series Maria Clara at Ibarra, which aired from October 2022 and ended in February 2023.
Fans loved their onscreen chemistry, and this continued in other projects. Now that they are both single, fans could not help but ship them.
In an interview by entertainment reporter Dolly Anne Carvajal, David Licauco was asked if he is ready to bring his onscreen partnership with Barbie Forteza to the next level. The actress said that right now, his and Barbie’s priority is their career.
The actor pointed out that Barbie just came from a breakup and that all he knows is that the actress is focusing on her self-growth.
Barbie announced her breakup with actor Jak Roberto last January. It was also recently confirmed that David is single.
“Right now, I just really see things how they are. If it happens, whatever happens in life, it’s gonna happen,” the actor stressed.
Then, the actor was asked if he believes in the “three-month rule” when it comes to finding a new love. This meant that three months should pass by after the breakup before a person could enter into another breakup.
“That’s very subjective, ‘yung three months, case to case eh. I think it really depends on the person. Some can like move on in a week, some can move in like three months, five months but I think it’s always better to really focus on yourself first after breakup,” he explained.
David Licauco also shared that his self-growth is his priority right now. On the other hand, he said that he and Barbie Forteza are really good friends and they are comfortable around each other.
Previously, the actor said that he cares a lot about his onscreen partner. Barbie also expressed the same towards David.
