After receiving an award at her school’s recognition day, Chiya couldn’t wait to share the news with her dad, so she went straight to his workplace to show him her achievement.
Since her husband, Christopher Lopez, couldn’t take a day off from work due to the busy Holy Week schedule, he missed the ceremony. But Chiya didn’t let that stop her from making sure he felt included in her special day.
“Bawal po siya umabsent dahil holy week. Recognition po ng aking anak. Kaya after niyang maawardan pumunta po kami sa daddy niya para ipakita niya,” Elaine said.
After the event, they headed straight to the restaurant where Christopher works. Chiya handed him her award and shared her joy. Tired from work, her dad’s exhaustion instantly turned into happiness upon seeing his daughter’s accomplishment.
“Masayang-masaya po ako dahil sa award niya at lalong lalo na ang daddy niya. Dahil deserve nya ‘yun, tuwing may exam or quiz nagpapa-review siya sa ‘kin,” she added.
