There are reasons why celebrities are often bashed online. Firstly, they live in the spotlight, and one wrong move, they get front-page hate and thousands of hate remarks on various online platforms. Cancel culture is rampant, and Vicki Belo recently made a clapback to the people online who negatively talked about her uneven chest.
Many people online noticed this detail in her photos prior to her attendance at the ABS-CBN Ball 2025, which was held at the Solaire Resort North, Quezon City.
“I’ve been getting so many comments about why my breasts are uneven,” she expressed in a post. She then clarified that it has nothing to do with her clinic. She explained that this was not done in her clinic, as this was the result of her illness years ago.
Belo recalled her breast cancer nine years ago, the same time when she thought her life was over. The tumor in her left chest was five by seven [5×7] centimeters. It was taken out with the procedure done at New York Presbyterian and filled with something.
She had stage three breast cancer, and three lymph nodes were removed, hence the unevenness in this specific part of her body. While fighting for her life during that time, one of the biggest reasons that made her go on and gave her strength was Scarlet, her youngest.
Emotionally, she went on saying in the video, “I am a cancer survivor. I was a bit depressed in the beginning, but I didn’t let it affect my life. I love clothes, I love sleeveless clothes.”
She hoped people would understand and would be kinder to her the next time through their words.
