Marjorie Barretto Slams Dennis Padilla; Defends Children

This is what Marjorie Barretto said to Dennis Padilla amid their issues.

In an interview, Marjorie Barretto stood up for their children, saying Dennis Padilla only wants attention, not a relationship with them.

Claudia Barretto’s wedding with Basti Lorenzo turned out controversial after Dennis Padilla aired his personal sentiments after he was not given a role. It was the most painful for him, and this hurt prompted him to end his relationship with them.

Julia, Claudia, and Leon are their three children, and recently, Marjorie Barretto came forward to defend them.

Marjorie breaks her silence

Speaking to Ogie Diaz, Barretto came forward and said that Padilla actually wanted attention. As per her, he is not interested in building a relationship with their three children.

She added that he can’t do anything if he’s feeling left out, for in most of their children’s lives, he wasn’t there. She said, “Kung nale-left out ka, wala ka kasi sa buhay ng mga anak mo eh. Mas gusto mo pa kasi magpa-interview eh.”

Barretto was also unapologetic about the setup during the wedding, where she sat where the bride’s family was, while Padilla wasn’t allowed and instead asked to sit beside the sponsors. She is not apologizing for it because she single-handedly raised her children to begin with.

He also seemingly accused her of orchestrating his exclusion from the wedding.
According to her, Claudia was the one who was supposedly the most distant from their father.

As per her wedding, she wanted to keep things private, and by saying private, she even kept her engagement under wraps. She was actually the one who told Claudia to invite their father. This even caused friction between them until she agreed one day on the condition that he would not walk her down the aisle.

I will tell you what your mom did to me.’”

Marjorie added that he also did not fight for the custody of their children. And since they separated 18 years ago, she has shouldered all of the kids’ finances.
