Intense Heated Argument Over Gambling Feud Lead to Physical Fight in Quiapo, Manila
An exchange of heated argument between two individuals during a casual gambling session in Quiapo, Manila led to a physical fight.
According to a witness named Anne, the fight began when Abi, one of the players, lost twenty pesos in an online game. Frustrated, Abi reportedly lashed out during the game.
Anne shared that both individuals involved, Abi and Marla, are usually friendly and that what happened seemed to be a moment of misunderstanding fueled by emotions.

Abi later explained that the fight wasn’t really about the gambling loss. She said she had reached her breaking point after constantly being insulted by Marla. According to her, Marla would often make unpleasant remarks about her appearance and personal life, which she tried to ignore until it finally became too much.
On the other hand, Marla shared her side of the story, saying that Abi also said hurtful things to her, calling her unlucky and saying things that hit a nerve. She admitted that she responded with her own sharp words, which led Abi to physically attack her.
Marla defended herself after being punched and admitted that emotions ran high on both sides.
In the end, both women expressed regret for what happened. Abi apologized to Marla, while Marla said she holds no grudges and acknowledged that everyone in the area has generally treated her kindly.
According to Barangay officials, no formal complaints were filed as the two made peace soon after. They added that the two are usually friendly toward each other and that the misunderstanding just got out of hand.
