Dennis Padilla Breaks Down and Begs God for Help Amid Heartbreaking Fallout with His Kids
DENNIS PADILLA – Actor Dennis Padilla emotionally turned to God for strength as he continues to endure a heartbreaking rift with his children.
Veteran actor Dennis Padilla has turned to his faith as he grapples with ongoing tension between him and his children—especially after feeling sidelined as merely a “visitor” at the recent wedding of his daughter, Claudia Barretto.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Padilla reflected on an emotional conversation with his brother Gene while they were waiting at the church. Gene had shared his belief that Dennis would have the chance to walk Claudia down the aisle—something that sadly didn’t happen.
Padilla expressed his plea for spiritual support, writing, “Mahal na Diyos… Hawakan niyo po ko,” alongside heartbroken and crying emojis. He set his post to the song “Kahit Na Magtiis” by The New Minstrels to convey the depth of his sorrow.
Earlier, Padilla aired his frustration over his limited role at the wedding in a now-deleted Instagram post, expressing his pain over not being asked to accompany Claudia, who was instead walked down the aisle by her mother and his former wife, Marjorie Barretto.
His online posts stirred public attention and speculation, especially after his eldest daughter, Julia Barretto, posted (and later deleted) cryptic messages on Instagram alluding to narcissistic parenting, adding more fuel to the fire.

In a sit-down interview with Ogie Diaz, Padilla admitted he was deeply hurt and announced he is no longer trying to repair his relationship with his children, stating he is done for good. Still, he believes Claudia had hoped for him to be more involved on her special day.
Padilla also mentioned that Claudia’s aunts, Claudine and Gretchen Barretto, were not invited to the wedding. He claimed Claudine tried to reach out to Marjorie to attend and offer a gift but was allegedly blocked, leaving her in tears.
Despite the emotional challenges, Padilla is leaning on his faith and praying for clarity, strength, and healing as he continues to navigate this difficult period in his family life.
