Coco Martin showed how passionate he is about the entertainment industry
Kapamilya actor Coco Martin has this message for showbiz personalities who are also in politics.
Coco has been in the industry for many years already, and he has proven that aside from acting, he can also do directing and producing. These past years, his primetime series has been top-rated and always receives warm support from his fans.
Just recently, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Coco was chosen to receive the Pinakapaboritong Artista ng Masang Pilipino award from the Inding-Indie Film Festival 2025. The Kapamilya actor was so happy because his primetime series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo was also recognized as the People’s Choice Award and Best TV Program.
Coco Martin shared that he was reminiscing about the years that have passed because he started doing indie films. It elated him that he saw his colleagues in this field. The actor said that he never imagined that he would reach his status now because, in the beginning, being in showbiz was not his dream.
The actor also had a “panawagan” for his fellow showbiz personalities who decided to cross over to the world of public service. He hoped that celebrity politicians would wholeheartedly support the entertainment industry, especially those who are creating indie films.
Coco stressed that there are a lot of talented people in the entertainment industry. “Ang husay-husay ng mga Pinoy umarte, magdirek at kung anu-ano pang parte ng paggawa ng pelikula at telebisyon, at sa iba pang sining sa buong Pilipinas,” he said, adding that he is sharing his recent award to people he worked with in the indie film industry.
Meanwhile, through his past and present shows, Coco Martin has been helping showbiz newbies, as well as veteran stars. He would also feature those who wanted another shot in the entertainment industry. Last month, Coco expressed willingness to help his former onscreen partner, Katherine Luna.
