Dennis Padilla shared something about Claudine Barretto
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto allegedly wanted to go to her niece Claudia Barretto’s wedding but her sister Marjorie Barretto did not allow her.
It is known to many showbiz fans that the famous Barretto sisters have a long-standing feud. Years passed, Claudine and her older sister Gretchen Barretto were able to reconcile and maintained their good relationship.
However, the reconciliation did not happen on Marjorie’s part. When Claudine and Marjorie were spotted attending their family gathering, fans anticipated that a reconciliation happened. It was said that they were just civil with each other.
Despite not having that normal relationship with Marjori Barretto as a sister, Claudine Barretto has no issue with her nieces and nephew. There was even an instance that she defended her niece actress Julia Barretto against negative comments.
Just recently, Claudine’s niece Claudia got married to her longtime boyfriend Basti Lorenzo. This became controversial because of actor Dennis Padilla’s rant on social media because he was treated as a guest and not the bride’s father. His rant received negative reactions but some expressed understanding for him.
His brother Gene Padilla who also attended the wedding defended his brother saying that Dennis was not informed prior to the event that he was just a guest.
In an interview on the YouTube channel of talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz, Dennis Padilla narrated his side of the story, including what Claudine Barretto tried to do for her niece. The Optimum Star was apparently uninvited to the wedding.
Dennis said that Claudine pleaded to Marjorie to allow her to go to the wedding just to give her gift for Claudia. However, Dennis said that Marjorie blocked Claudine on Viber. It was said that the actress so hard because of this.
The actor shared a Facebook post in which Claudine was tagged, saying that he knows how hurtful this is for the actress. A day after that, he and Claudine talked and he told the actress to go to the wedding even though she was not invited.
When asked why Marjorie and Claudine are not okay, Dennis was not able to give an answer.
