Electrician Arrested After Stealing P10.2 Million Worth of Valuables
An electrician reportedly stole around P10.2 million worth of valuables from a renovation site in Quezon City.
A couple from Quezon City has expressed their frustration after they discovered that their hired electrician allegedly took off with their valuables, amounting to over P10.2 million.
The couple had just returned home when they noticed something was wrong. Jewelry, a 9mm handgun, and other important belongings were missing. Among the stolen items was a device with an AirTag, which later became the key to tracking down the suspect.

With help from the Quezon City Police District’s Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit, authorities traced the AirTag signal. It led them just a couple of minutes away from the couple’s home. The suspect, unaware of the tracker, had kept the stolen goods in his car.
“May AirTag ‘yun, hindi niya basta-basta malalaman na may AirTag. Talagang napakabait ng Diyos,” the victim said.
Police waited for nearly five hours until the man finally returned to the vehicle. He was immediately arrested, and officers recovered several pieces of jewelry and other items from the trunk. The total value of everything taken was estimated at over P10.2 million.
Further investigation revealed that the same man had allegedly stolen from a relative in the past. However, that previous victim chose not to file a case. This time, the couple has decided to press full charges, determined not to let the crime go unanswered.

The suspect is now facing a case of qualified theft. The incident reminds us to always take extra precautions, especially when letting workers into your home. While trust is important, keeping an eye on your valuables and using tracking tools like AirTags can make a big difference when something goes wrong.
