DUTERTE’S BIRTHDAY – Vice President Sara Duterte released a heartfelt message for former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte as he turns 80 today.

The arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte shocked countless Filipinos. The Philippine National Police (PNP) implemented the “law enforcement operation” upon the former President’s arrival from Hong Kong last March 11.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte questioned the silence of the Armed Forces of the Philippines during the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero stressed that it was a law enforcement operation and the AFP only assisted on the move. The AFP also issued a statement following Vice Pres. Duterte questioning their alleged “silence”.

Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte is detained in the Hague Penitentiary Institution for more than a week now. Today, the former President turns 80 and heartfelt messages from his family, friends, and supporters flooded on Duterte’s birthday.

On former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s birthday, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte released a heartfelt birthday message for her father. The Vice President is currently in The Hague, Netherlands as she sets the legal team of the former President for his ICC trial.

On her birthday message for former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s birthday, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte said she learned resilience and courage from her father and thanked him for teaching her the value of education. She wishes him love, good health, and happiness at he turns 80 today.

“Warmest birthday wishes to Former President Rodrigo Duterte. I learned resilience and courage in your exigence. Thank you for teaching me the value of education. I wish you love, good health and happiness. Happy 80th birthday Papa!” Vice Pres. Duterte said in her video message.

In a statement ahead of the birthday of former Pres. Duterte, the Vice President called on the Filipinos to pray for FPRRD to be given a good health and longer life. She also asked the public to pray for the immediate homecoming of her father.

“Hilingin din natin sa Diyos na sana ay makauwi na agad si Pangulong Duterte sa Pilipinas,” Vice Pres. Duterte said.

Previously, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte revealed that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte requests for a supply of his Coke Zero. According to the Vice President, her father is feeling better now and was released from the hospital wing of the ICC detention facility but they can’t really stop him from drinking the soda.
