Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino Movie First Day Earnings Revealed

According to Star Cinema, the film “My Love Will Make You Disappear,” starring Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, earned this much on the first day.

“My Love Will Make You Disappear” is the debut film of ABS-CBN love team KimPau. This is the collective name of Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino. The film’s story is about a girl who has a curse, and the curse is that whenever she loves a man, he disappears. This has caught the attention of a brokenhearted man, who saw the curse as an opportunity to escape his pain.

As of this writing, this is now showing in over 745 cinemas worldwide. Beginning March 27, it will be shown in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, and the UAE. Star Cinema also revealed the first-day earnings of the movie, and accordingly, the movie earned Php 12 million on its opening day.

In the Philippines, it is shown in 380 cinemas, and so far, this is 2025’s highest first-day gross among local films.

Meanwhile, in a previous article, Avelino expressed his desire to work with the actress in projects with different genres. He has always desired to do something different from what he is used to doing, such as a tear-jerker, an action film, or a sci-fi film.

I would love to work with Kim again, but I would like a different genre. Maybe a tear-jerker, an action film, or what I’ve been wanting to do for the longest time: a sci-fi film,” Avelino said.

There are rumors that they are officially in a relationship. When it comes to matters like this, Kim’s best friend, Angelica Panganiban, reacted to the relationship rumors, and right after watching their latest film, she quipped, “Friends daw sabi nila sa movie. Pero ganoon maghalikan!”
