Kris Bernal talked about her new house
Actress Kris Bernal reacted to comments that her new house looks like a “munisipyo” or municipal hall.
Kris rose to fame through the Kapuso talent search StarStruck. She found success in showbiz and was able to improve her financial status as well.
One of the most expensive things she spent money on was her big house with her husband businessman Perry Choi. In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, the actress was surprised by the people’s comments after she shared a sneak peek of their house.
The actress shared that they started building the house before the pandemic. She and her husband have been saving for the house and their baby.
Kris Bernal shared that she and Perry designed the house in collaboration with a designer. When shared this on social media, she admitted that she was surprised by the comments.
“Ano bang masasabi nila, nagustuhan ba nila ‘yung design? Pero for me, hindi pa s’ya tapos talaga… Structure palang, wala pa talaga ‘yung windows, accents, stones, glass… so ang dami pang magbabago,” she said.
The actress agreed with netizens’ comments that their house looked like a municipal hall. “Mukha s’yang munisipyo talaga kasi ang laki ng entrance ko. Alam mo, parang Sandiganbayan, ang laki talaga, ang taas talaga! Feeling ko ‘yun ‘yung sa arch na napakataas, ‘yun ‘yun eh!” she said.
Kris also said that this comment may come from the fact that their house has a big glass door. For her, this resembles the one that is usually found in municipal halls. “Pero at the same time, ‘yun din nagpamahal sa bahay na ‘yun,” she added.
Kris Bernal also shared that her favorite part of the house is her walk-in closet. She revealed that it is because, in her condo unit, her things were just scattered as there was not enough space.
