Recently, Amara Carmelle Gallofin, a Facebook user, shared her daily struggle in running her small business. The post immediately spread like wildfire on social media and elicited comments online.
Like many small store owners, she faces financial difficulties, with mounting expenses and limited capital making it hard to restock her store. Weeks have passed without a proper grocery run, and she is feeling the pressure of keeping the business going.
Despite her best efforts, the income from the store is often not enough to cover daily needs, leaving her wondering if she should continue or look for other ways to earn.
One of her biggest struggles is balancing work and family. As a mother, she has to take care of her young child, including dropping them off and picking them up from school every day. With no one else to look after the store, she has no choice but to close it temporarily, affecting her earnings even more.
Gallofin once tried selling barbecue and siomai in an attempt to supplement her income, but the physical strain of juggling multiple tasks, including handwashing laundry, took a toll on her body. Exhaustion made it difficult to keep up with everything, adding to her frustration.

Gustohin ko man mag work na lang pero wala naman makapagbantay sa anak ko Kayo po anong kwento ng tindahan nyo na nagka ganito paano nyo po na isurvive.. ako kasi open closed store ko maghatid sundo ako sa anak kong kinder araw araw pamasahe nag try po ako noon tinda bbq siomai pero minsan di kaya ng katawan ko sa pagod kc May time na lagi akong naglalaba handwash lang… Pa share naman po ng ideas paano makaraos… Salamat po.”
