In an Instagram post, Neri Miranda speaks about her past arrest and being among the most wanted in the country.
“Wais Na Misis” Neri Miranda has this to say about her past issue and as one of the most wanted personalities in the Philippines.
Last year, many were surprised after reports about Neri Miranda being arrested surfaced online. Allegedly, she violated the Securities Regulation Code and committed syndicated estafa.
Neri was detained at the Pasay City Jail Female Dormitory and recalling this hard part of her life last year, she has finally broken her silence.
In her Instagram post as “Your Most Wanted Wais na Misis”, she expressed that it was unexpected she’d be on the list of most wanted in the country. She was called a lot of offensive names, but she stressed that she did not go into hiding.
She is aware that many are expecting her to clear her side, but for now, what she can just say after the pile of unfortunate and embarrassing things that happened—it was a nightmare.
Some have celebrated her lowest point, but as someone who won’t allow her emotions to get the best of her, she chose silence. She was judged, ridiculed, and labeled, but then there were those who defended her, stood by her, and encouraged her. She is grateful to these people who impacted her life in a positive way.
She also did not forget to give credit to her husband, who never left her side.
“It was a rollercoaster of emotions, at sobrang kapit ko sayo dahil bagsak na bagsak ako. Pero yung pagmamahal mo, yun ang nagbigay sa akin ng pag-asa. Hindi ka sumuko at umuwi hanggat hindi mo ako kasamang umuwi sa mga bata,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, around the first week of March, the Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) cleared Neri. The court found “insufficiency of the criminal complaint.”
The complaints against her, which included estafa and violation of the Securities Regulation Code (Republic Act No. 8799), were dismissed.
